DFC Releases Service Manager-Pro 2.0
Web-Based Service Management System for Roofing Service Cases
ACTON, Mass. ( January 2010) - Digital Facilities Corporation (DFC), the industry's leading provider of roofing asset management software, has released Service Manager-Pro 2.0, a comprehensive ASP.net solution for managing roofing services. This solution, which works with DFC’s RoofPro® asset management software, is designed to give roofing companies with service departments, roofing consultants, and property owners an easy and efficient way to report, track and manage information about various service cases.
Companies can offer Service Manager-Pro through their website to internal users and clients for permission-based access to selected facilities. These users can report, update and track roof repairs from start to finish with options to attach photos, estimates, and key documents. Warranty tracking flags users when service cases are reported for roofs with existing warranties. If the problem is covered under warranty then the appropriate steps can be taken to minimize cost and link the activity to the warranty. In version 2.0 there is an added option for printing Invoices from Quick Books®.
Internal tools allow Administrators to set up workflow steps, activity types, and severity codes, service case numbering and work order forms. Preset email notifications with status reports notify stakeholders when roofing problems are reported, how repairs are proceeding, and when the repairs are completed, allowing service communication to be handled effectively and expeditiously.
A comprehensive toolset provides custom site configuration to match company graphics and colors, with similar options for client landing pages. User management tools allow authenticated users to report problems, update job status, file management reports, as well as add automatic updates to RoofPro work history.
"The release of Service Manager-Pro adds a web accessible workflow tool for organizations that want to retain control of client data while managing roofing maintenance, repairs, leaks, and storm damage," said Steven James, president of DFC. “Service Manager-Pro continues to build on the significant enhancements to the current RoofPro product line – underscoring DFC’s commitment to continue providing building owners, facility managers, consultants and roofing contractors with the best roofing service solutions."
